Should we rename Fun Friday to Free Education Friday?!

Fun Friday in 2026 is back and there has been nothing but great feedback from our new program.  If you don't know what Fun Friday is, let me explain.

I wanted to create a way to have a monthly fun - educational event - hosted in store that was inexpensive to attend, but also fun and informative, also with great sales and different giveaways each month.

We weren't able to do this for all of 2025 while we were building out our new home in Richardson, so this is our first full year back in full swing with monthly Fun Friday's!

Every month we choose a different theme, and this month's theme is paper piecing.

If you're new to quilting, you may have not heard of paper piecing before - but its a really fun way to create intricate quilts and designs in a way that feels a bit like paint by number.

Here's one example of paper piecing from the awesome @kindredquiltco who is the co author of "The Quilting Book"

This is what we will be covering for Fun Friday March 2026! Each student will be able to try their hand at paper piecing, it won't be this intricate, so don't worry if you are totally new to this! Jacque will guide you through a simple flying geese block that will be easy to complete using our supplies and sewing machines!

We will also be raffling off a $100 stitichhouse gift card to one of our Fun Friday participants.  Just attend, complete your block, and you'll receive your entry.

It's going to be so much fun, we will have food, drinks, and tons of knowledge we will be passing around!
