FIRST EVENT OF 2026!! I already need a nap...
I titled this blog post with enthusiasm, mostly because I am writing this at 9pm on a Tuesday night, the week before our target event of the year. I say that jokingly because, this is our first event of the year, and also, it will be our largest.
We're closing the store for an entire week, something I've never done before, even in the midst of moving. So since this will be the first time doing it I'm clearly nervous. As a team, we've been planning this January event for exactly a year now. I put this on our books January 2025 while we were still in the midst of moving into our new permanent location. Woo, glad that's over.
Fast forward to tonight, and I'm working hard to bring you info on the event, even if you can't attend. We have 5 classrooms, with 4 different machine models. Each classroom will be stocked by us, Stitchhouse, and that means the classroom model machines will be for sale at huge discounts with included bundles! Of course, these prices are too low for me to advertise, but if you contact us, we can absolutely give you pricing information to secure your own classroom model machine.
All classroom models com with new warranties, are fully serviced before being delivered to your home, and are like new! We're opening all of these machines for the first time this week, so they're brand new!

The Bernina 990 I think it goes without saying, this is clearly one of my favorite machines. If you don't own it because you've been hesitant, I can assure you, this is a purchase you won't regret. Technology changes and evolves, and this machine has pushed the technology far beyond what any other brand or model has been able to do. My top three reasons for purchasing a 990: 1 - Add your quilting files, just like you would on a longarm, and then USE THEM just like you would on the longer with the use of the laser and the camera. 2- JUMBO BOBBIN, yes this really does make a difference. The bobbin holds 70% more thread, and that means less bobbin changes while quilting or embroidering. 3- Built in stitch regulator. With 13 inches of throat space this machine truly does it all. It acts like a longarm, all while sewing and embroidering like a dream. This machine is 3 machines in one, and when you think of it like that, it's a bargain :)

The Bernina L890 I wrote an entire blog post dedicated to my love for this machine. You can check it out here. I'll just say this, if you're terrified of your serger, this machine will change that. It threads itself, there's not a tension knob in site, and it's so simple even I can do it! Seriously, lol.
This machine will include a foot bundle so that you can do all kinds of fancy and decorative stitches. We also have expert classes and education for the machine that make it really fun to get involved and learn more!
The Bernina 570qe This machine has been sold out everywhere for two reasons: 1- for the size and price it is incredibly popular. And 2- It was a number one seller for Christmas. This machine packs a huge punch with standard dual feed, a jumbo bobbin, embroidery capabilities, and it can use a stitch regulator (this may or may not be part of our special deal at the event, wink wink)
If you're in the market for a travel machine, a first time machine, or a just a second, or third machine, then I'd highly recommend the 570. We will be sewing on them using different feet in the classroom and the bundle will be too great to pass up!
The Bernina Q Series - multiple models available This Machine is made to make quilting easy. There are so many things Bernina designs and engineers that make this machine in a class of its own. My main love of the q series is that it has DIGITAL and INTERNAL tension. No tension knobs, ever. No adjusting tension, hardly ever. This uses the same tension system as their regular sewing machines. This is the only machine on the market to do so, and no, it's not a gimmick. If you have been frustrated with your longarm because you are always fighting tension, try a Bernina and you'll never look back. In addition, it uses the same feet as all domestic Bernina's so you can interchange your feet if you already own a Bernina. It also takes a standard flat back needle so you can change the needle easily (not so much on other brands).
