Stitchhouse Saturday Sale and a few other things happening :)
It's that time of year where time feels like it's going by at warp speed. As a December birthday, I've always gotten really excited for the Thanksgiving - Birthday - Christmas - Rush!
This year, I decided to throw some fun new events, classes, and sales into the mix. I've always loved writing, so blogging has been a natural way to share my thoughts and ideas in one place. Before I get to the sale aspect, I wanted to do a little reflection on this year. What a year it has been. When I think about how far I have come with the move, the business, the team, and the atmosphere, I am in complete awe. When we moved into this space, my landlords hadn't completed the build out - and we have no where to go. So we had to move in without a certificate of occupancy, no utilities turned on, and no heat! It was awful. So now, sitting in this space comfortably, I am happy to be able to sit back and enjoy the accomplishment of keeping the ship heading in the right direction despite setback and difficulty!
This time of year can be difficult for so many people, and I get it. Family dynamics, traveling, and the added pressure of chaos in our environment that seems a bit out of our control. I try to approach this season with gratitude, kindness, and empathy for those around me. And in a retail setting, that can be extra challenging. I hope that with some of the fun we have planned in store through the rest of the year, we can brighten someone's moment, day, or week. Small acts of kindness can really go a long way right now!
In store we are preparing for a few MAJOR things:
1- STITCHHOUSE SATURDAY , November 29th, doors open at 9 am- Our biggest sale of the year! I spent some time in the Moda/United Notions warehouse yesterday and was so excited to find a ton of treasures for our sale. I walked all of the aisles looking for things that I know would make awesome Christmas gifts for a friend, or yourself! Here's what will be on sale that day!
Fabric - 40 Percent off 1 yard minimum cuts from 9 AM - 11 AM. 30 Percent off 1/2 yard minimum cuts for the rest of the day! I've got extra fabric cutters in place for this day, so we will be cutting fast!
Thread - We have restocked all of our GLIDE and ISACORD embroidery thread. All thread will be "Buy 2, get 1 free"
There will be a LARGE selection of notions marked at tables for 50, 40 and 30 percent off. First come first serve!
Bernina sewing and embroidery machines Black Friday pricing will take effect and those deals will only last until November 30th!
All Floor Models and Trade IN Machines will be discounted heavily - we have even pulled some out of our service department that were trade-in machines in need of a tune up!

2- FUN FRIDAY BAG PICKUP PARTY! Friday December 5th - 2 - 5 PM
Fun FRIDAY is BACK! We have 12 events, one a month, beginning in 2026! Get excited and see a sneak preview of what we have to offer at our Fun Friday pickup party. Grab your bag for 2026 and spend some time decorating the bag with our embroidered charms. We will have a holiday themed party going with drinks and refreshments plus door prizes! We can't wait to celebrate with you.

3- HOOP CAMP! Friday or Saturday, December 12th or 13th
You asked, we listened. Hoop camp is back and this time, we're offering it on a weekend! This is the place for everyone who has ever wondered "how do I make my machine embroidery look pretty?" In Hoop Camp we explore the basics of stabilizers, thread, design choices, and more. This is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your skills, or learn new ones. My favorite part of this event is that it is lecture style, and you don't have the pressure of finishing a project. I think it makes learning simple and attainable!
